Operational risk management
So i am a second year European bachelor (Netherlands) student with no experience only from associations. I’ve been applying for internships non stop (like everyone else) and i got an interview at ABN AMRO for operational risk management. I just wanted to know how is it like to work in operational or just risk management in general?
Is operational risk management at the leading bank in the Netherlands internship strong for IB, WM, PE, Banking etc. (I’m not sure what i want to do in the future). Is it possible to finish the internship and transition within the bank to more WM, IB etc or does it restrict me in the future and for future internships when i am applying for other finance roles? Is operational risk management the “worst” of the other risk for transitioning like in comparison to credit and market risk? Of course i will take ANY internship within the finance field but was just curious.
Thanks!
