19M — Creatine while on blood thinners and BP medication?

Hi everyone, I’m a 19-year-old male who goes to the gym regularly and was considering starting creatine monohydrate. However, I’m currently on blood thinners and blood pressure medication due to previous heart surgeries, so I wanted to ask if anyone here has experience or knowledge about this.

Current medications:

  • Acitrom: 3mg / 4mg on alternate days
  • Amlopin: 5mg in the morning and 2.5mg at night

I’ve read mixed opinions online about creatine causing dehydration, kidney stress, or possible issues with medications, so I wanted to know whether it’s generally considered safe in situations like mine or if it’s something I should completely avoid.

I already asked my cardiologist about creatine, but he said he wasn’t at all familiar with it and suggested I speak to a nutritionist instead. The nutritionist I consulted was completely against it, but didn’t really explain why, which is why I’m trying to get more opinions or hear from people with similar experiences.
