Help with recovery of car
the towing company that towed my car and disputed my ownership of the car preventing me from recovering it.
I got arrested January 9 and my car got towed, and I wasn’t able to retrieve car because they were saying it was in a ladies name, the last person to register the car. I didn’t get out of jail till February 18th, and all that time I still wasn’t able to retrieve my car and the storage total was already way out of what I could afford. I didn’t receive no mail notice stating my car had been towed or where the car was at. I have documentation stating that I am the owner of the car and also a bill of sale / proof of purchase. The txdmv recently mailed me a Notice of Determination for a Bonded Title or Tax Assessor-Collector and I currently placed a 10 day hold on the vehicle and am trying to reclaim it. Please someone help me, I’m in the Houston area!
