I’m rewatching and just finished Season 2, Episode 6. It got me thinking: would Big have actually committed and married Carrie early on if she had just been more laidback?
We all know that certain guys are drawn to the noncommittal, breezy, cool girl. But with Big, it honestly feels like he’s willing to compromise and show up for everybody else except Carrie. Look at how quickly he marries Natasha later on.
Is it because Carrie’s neediness and anxiety push him away, creating a self-fulfilling prophecy? Or is the truth that Big simply liked the chase, and Carrie being hyper-available and anxious just took the mystery out of it for him?
Curious to know what everyone else thinks. Was Carrie’s lack of chill the dealbreaker, or was Big just fundamentally incapable of loving her the way she wanted?
