wanting to go from red to blonde…
hi everyone! was looking for a subreddit to post this on and thought maybe this would be the best as i assume people have experienced overbearing parents who won’t let them dye their hair. i am 19 almost 20 for context.
i currently have bleached hair that i used to go to the salon for but i haven’t been since december because it got too expensive for me! my mum paid for one session (christmas present) and i paid half for the other. since then i’ve been bleaching it myself but im just kinda bored of the colour. i’ve also done orange and brown in the past (3 years ago now)
my older sister who is 24 dyed her hair a lot like red, purple, orange, blonde and back to brown which she now dyes purple and red.
my issue is my parents do NOT want me to dye my hair but let my sister do it with no questions asked, even though she still lives with them and i do too.
i have my own source of income and get really good grades at university. im well aware i have free will but my anxiety gets the best of me sometimes.
so my question is what should i do? should i just do it??? i’m planning of using temporary red dye and i dont mind about staining because i can afford to get the colour corrected myself!
