Hi all,

My partner and I are doing a road trip from Bergen to Tromsø in May (about 2 weeks) and would love some advice from people who know Norway well or have done similar trips.

We only have our first hotel in Bergen and last one in Tromsø booked everything in between is flexible because we’d like to build the route around recommandations or how much we like a place.

We’re looking for the kind of suggestions that maybe don’t show up in the usual travel guides. We’re not trying to speedrun Norway

What we’re into:

• Nature / scenic drives
• Mid to longer hikes (day hikes are ideal, but open to bigger adventures if realistic)
• Smaller towns or villages with good vibes
• Nice places to slow down for a day, sit by the water, sauna, café, good food, etc.
• Hidden gems / places that surprised you

A few questions:

• Which places of this route are absolute must-dos, where would you spend extra time?
• Any places that are overrated and worth skipping?
• How should we spend the Constitution Day? On this day we get our rental car early in the morning in Bergen, but at this point we were already there one full day
