Sump pump - where is all the water coming from?

My sump pump puts out so much water days and days after a rain. I noticed recently when we lost power due to a storm that no water was running into it and as soon as power came back on, water was running into it. Video attached shows no water running in and I will reply to this post with the video of after the electricity comes back on. I have a third video of less water running in after electricity had been back on for a while but won’t bother to post that.

My house is the only one that puts out water and all have sump pumps. Even in winter I have water running on the street which then freezes.

I think I know just the basics of how a sump pump works and this seems weird to me. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

So my damage is $5000 some for hail damage. Over 200 dents of different sizes according to the person who did the assessment. Dents are on roof, hood, metal trim along the windows and even quarter panels.

My question is should I take it to the Toyota Collision Center since it is a newer vehicle or to one of my insurance recommended places? The insurance company will warranty the work done by one of their preferred places for life and not sure if a I would get that type of warranty elsewhere. What should I expect the car to look like after-will it look good as new?

Thanks in advance~never had to deal with hail damage😢

My daughter graduates from grad school three hours away and I would be leaving to go 8 days after my right ankle OFIR surgery and I am afraid to go. I know I can ride in the back and keep my foot propped up. I have a knee scooter and crutches that I would take. I’m scared of unknown terrain and obstacles as well as handling public restrooms. I was even looking at incontinence underwear in case I’m somewhere and I can’t get into the restroom. Am I being a wimp if I don’t go? Everything is still exhausting at this point. If it was local, I wouldn’t have a question about going. How would you handle this?
