While we wait for any updates about the Moonlight Trail Cape going to Java, let's take a look at the new cape and how it looks with the Elytra on.

According to the Minecraft Experience: Moonlight Trail FAQ, The Moonlight Trail Cape is right now ONLY available for Bedrock users. But they stated that they will update it for Java users.
Here's the proof: (The actual question in the FAQ)

The unique code used to redeem the in-game cape is redeemable only in Bedrock Edition, but it will later update to your Java Edition.
So if you already redeemed the cape, don't worry. But if you have Bedrock Edition, Make sure you equipped it right away so that you will be ready.
If you have been to the event in person, let us know.
Will probably see an update of the cape through NameMC or Laby tomorrow.

The Common Cape will soon be gone. Your cape will be unlocked by signing into a Microsoft account in the Bedrock Edition before May 5, 2026. Make sure to claim your now before it too late.
