First league
I joined my first league ever and was very nervous about joining because I was doing it alone. I showed up on time and everyone had their own gear. They had bowling balls, shoes, bags for the balls, finger and wrist wraps. These guys are serious bowlers. I showed up bare bones with house shoes and house balls lol. Some of the guys in the league didn't even want to bowl with me because of that. It felt like a bad decision already but I went ahead and played my first few games. The guys encouraged me to get my first bowling ball and so I did.
I can't even bowl as good I do with a house ball lol. I feel in over my head and get nervous around these other bowlers because they are so much better than me. I'm trying to get good at it and just genuinely have a good time but I judge myself so harshly. Did any of you guys feel like this during your first league? I did this to get back into bowling and hopefully make some new friends.
