I started having casual conversations with this girl in late July 2026. We met online, and at first, I just thought she was genuinely nice and caring for someone I had only recently met. She first interacted with me when she commented on my Threads post after I vented about how frustrated I was from grinding all day but still not being able to rank up in the game.

Eventually, our conversations became a little more personal. As she started opening up to me, I learned that she had actually been with her girlfriend for years. That was when I decided to take a step back. I stopped engaging with her in matches, and eventually, we stopped talking altogether.

It’s been a week since we last spoke.

And now I’m wondering... did I do the right thing by walking away?
