Crape myrtle bark scale bugs coming back after a imidacloprid drench last month.
I'm in Virginia and had a bad infestation last fall that was so terrible their sooty black poop killed the grass under the tree. This spring I sprayed the black stuff off the trunk and branches that I could reach (it's a tall myrtle) then used a imidacloprid drench but now I see these fuzzy assholes have returned. Will they eventually die or is the treatment ineffective?
