[GUIDE] Automatically turn off RGB when streaming (Playnite + Razer Synapse v4 + MSI Mystic Light)

Hello !

I wanted to be able to play on my PC in my living room like a console, but without leaving all my desk LEDs on for nothing (power saving).

The objective is simple:

Playing from the PC: The RGB stays on normally.

Remote gaming (via Moonlight/Artemis and Sunshine/Apollo): All lights turn off automatically.

My Setup

Hardware: MSI Motherboard & Razer Peripherals.

Required Software: MSI Center (with the Mystic Light module), Razer Synapse v4, and Playnite.

Step-by-Step Tutorial

  1. Link the motherboard to Razer Synapse

In MSI Center / Mystic Light, enable the sync bridge (Mystic Light Sync) to Razer Synapse. This allows Razer to take full control of your motherboard's LEDs and any connected components.

  1. Create the "Blackout" profile

Open Razer Synapse v4 and head over to the Chroma Studio tab.

Create a new profile and name it something like RGB OFF.

  1. Configure the lights to turn off

Select all your peripherals and components on the grid.

Apply a "Static" effect but set the brightness to 0 (or a blank/black color).

  1. Link the profile to your devices

Make sure the RGB OFF profile is properly linked to all your devices in Chroma.

  1. Automate everything with Playnite

In the Synapse v4 profile settings, link the RGB OFF profile to launch with the Playnite executable (Playnite.FullscreenApp.exe).

Result

Now, as soon as Playnite launches, your PC and peripheral lights will shut off instantly. As soon as you close Playnite, your usual lighting profile comes right back.

📌 Note on my use case: I only launch Playnite when streaming to my TV, never in standard desktop mode. If you also use Playnite on your desktop and want to keep the RGB on, you just need to link the RGB OFF profile directly to the applications you launch exclusively for streaming instead.

Hope this helps someone else out! If you have any questions about configuring Synapse v4 with Mystic Light, feel free to ask.

OmniEmu and Ratchet & Clank

Hi everyone!

I'm new to this subreddit.

I wanted to dive back into my childhood and replay the entire Ratchet & Clank series. I've never done any emulation before, but I heard about the OmniEmu project: https://github.com/cookie9867563/OmniEmu-Universal-Emulator-2026

Have any of you tried it yet?

I'm not sure if it exists, but I'm looking for a project that can emulate PS2, PS3, and PS4 all within the same software.

Thanks in advance for your feedback and advice! :)

Hi everyone!

After doing some deep diving into local game streaming, I’ve set up my server using Vibeshine (Specs: RTX 5070 Ti / Ryzen 7 9800X3D).

I am now looking for the ideal client device (budget: 200€ - 300€) capable of decoding an AV1 stream at 4K @ 120 FPS with minimal latency. My goal is to get as close to a native "console experience" as possible.

From my research, the best path seems to be a Mini PC running Bazzite OS (to get that Steam Deck-style Game Mode UI).

A few questions for the community:

  1. Hardware: Which Mini PC would you recommend to handle 4K 120 FPS AV1 decoding in this price range? (I've been looking at Intel N100 builds or AMD 7000 series chips).
  2. Automation & Power On: Has anyone successfully managed to wake/boot their Mini PC using the Xbox button on a controller (via an 8BitDo dongle or similar)?
  3. Workflow: My ideal automation flow would be:
    • Long press Xbox button -> Boot Mini PC.
    • Client automatically sends a Wake-on-LAN (WoL) packet to the server.
    • Boot directly into Bazzite Game Mode (or Playnite if on Windows).

Has anyone pulled off a similar setup? Any hurdles or bottlenecks I should be aware of?

Thanks in advance for your help! :)
