Anyone used the Boldr Klima thermostats?

I just had a heat pump put in with a couple of Daikin head units, and the installer offers Klima thermostats to go with them for home automation. I’ve been using Mysas with baseboards, so I’ve got some (possibly unfair) assumptions about how a thermostat should work in HomeKit.

The Klima are…weird. It seems like when set to auto mode — which I understand should make the units heat or cool as needed to reach the desired set point — it isn’t actually possible to select a set point, either in the Boldr app or in the Home app.

If I select Heat or Cool, then I can select a set point…but the Klima seems to have wildly variable ideas of what the current temperature is. It was reading 68 (F) while the Mysas and a simple fridge thermometer I put on a table were reading 74. I tried using the temperature offset option to normalize it, but the normalized temp isn’t reflected in any display I can see (in either Home or the Boldr app), except in the offset setting screen itself! The temperature monitoring screen in the Boldr app reads 22°F, which I assume is a mislabeled Celsius reading.

I think that’s all the issues I’ve noticed so far, but it sure seems like enough. Has anyone had better luck with them? Is there something I’m just doing wildly incorrectly? And is there an alternative HomeKit-compatible thermostat for Daiken systems that anyone can recommend?

This happened yesterday while a family member was borrowing my ‘22 Bolt. The warning light came on, and the app warned me that power might be reduced and OPD disabled to protect the system. And then shortly afterwards, the light turned off and the app reported that all is well.

This car did not get a new battery, just an 80% charge limit for however many miles were required.

This is obviously concerning, and my instinct is to take it in anyway, but is Chevy going to do anything about it if the car is now reporting that all is well?
