Successful start, what to do next

My little boy is 2,5 and we started officially potty training last Thursday although we have had him use the potty since 1,5. Today is Sunday and he only had 1 (half) accident were he only started running to his potty when he already started peeing a little. This was the very first use of the potty of the day so I guess he just needed a little reminder. We do a diaper for his nap and sleep and have stayed home for all 4 days.

Now what do we do? We cannot go anywhere without having his potty within running distance but we are getting stir crazy. Do I put him in a diaper for an outing? He is completely uninterested in using the toilet at this point, although he does happily empty his potty and flush.

Also, on Tuesday he will be going to daycare (only day of daycare this week) so I guess he will be trying out being potty trained outside the house there for the first time. I am unsure whether to just send him in a diaper for the day or expect him to use the toilet there.

I know I am rambling but please let me know how you transitioned through this early phase of potty training. We seem to have had a good start but I dont know where to go from here!
