If approximately 5-6 million non Irish British people immigrated to the USA from 1776-1880 would it be fair to estimate that about 25-35% of the British DNA in America today is not “Old Stock”?
I’ve considered that this is a 100 year period. Birth rates among Old Stock Whites were extremely high during the same period. But 5-6 million is still a lot. They intermarried with existing British derived Americans. And in some places like Ohio formed their own communities where they made up more of the overall British ancestry. What yall think?
