Are premium active photochromic sunglasses ($200+) actually BIFL? Considering iCeMonster.

I've gone through 4 pairs of $40-60 sport sunglasses in the last 3 years. Scratched lenses, broken frames, lost them on a trail. I'm considering going premium and buying once , specifically looking at iCeMonster's active photochromic glasses. The active photochromic tech seems genuinely different from standard UV-based photochromics (faster, works in more conditions). Anyone here have long-term experience with premium sport sunglasses? Is the build quality actually BIFL?
