I tried a lot of stuff and finally fixed my ED

I know there are a lot of different reasons why people might be suffering from ED and that my solution won't work for everyone. But for those interested, I'll share what helped me below (TLDR in the bottom).

First of all, this was something that gradually became a problem over a number of years until really becoming a problem in my early 30s. Especially when I broke up with my girlfriend. I got a lot of anxiety the first time I'm with someone new (or at least I did). And as we all know, anxiety can kill an erection as well.

I tried a lot of stuff; shockwave, abstinence, all types of supplements.

Ultimately I knew that physically, there wasn't a problem, I suppose, since everything worked OK while taking sildenafil. It was working alright taking these pills, but not great. I got over my anxiety by doing it this way though.

Anyhow, as time went by it was actually fine taking the pills, but at some point I wanted to improve my health. I went to get a health assessment.

Almost everything looked fine, but it turns out that I had a really high body fat % as well as high cholesterol. I never looked overweight (from my point of view), and my BMI was only slightly above 25. Everything on me was pretty skinny except on my lower abdomen, which held most of the fat. Also, my fitness level test was horrible pointing to a bad situation for my cardiovasculary system, which is also really bad for ED I suppose.

When I did some more research, I found out that fat situated at your lower abdomen is a pretty certain sign of being insulin resistant. That can cause the additional fat, which in turn can tank your free testosteron really badly. Basically my hormon levels were out of balance.

I tried a lot of stuff to fix my insulin resistance. Fasting. Running. Weightlifting. Different diets. It was extremely difficult for me to make a change almost no matter how hard I tried.

Eventually I came to the conclusion that I needed to do something drastic in order to fix my problems. I went on a GLP-1 (Ozempic) but just the low dosis. It took months and I have so far lost around 26lbs. The fat around my lower abdomen is nearly gone!! I have spontaneous erections during the day - few, but they are there. I have a libido again.

I didn't really work out during this period of time, but somehow even without noticing it GLP-1 made me eat differently and a lot less. I believe it increased my insulin sensitivity, so my body didn't have to release as much insulin, which in turn meant I could burn all the fat on my lower abdomen that was tanking my free testosteron.

I'm not saying this will work for everyone. But if you have a body fat % and a lot of fat on your (lower) abdomen, it's something you could try. It worked for me!!

TLDR: I got ED gradually in my early 30s, tried a lot of stuff and eventually I believe it was cured by managing my insulin and thereby blood sugar and hormon levels with a GLP-1.
