Taking a coffee break is bad ?!
I 23M have recently joined a company 6months back. Everyday I go to the office at 8:30 in the morning till 5:40 in the evening. I usually take just 2 breaks in between (apart from lunch break) ,
One from 11:30 to 11:40 to stretch my legs and one from 4:30 to 4:45 for a cup of coffee and walk.
Yesterday my office admin told my inline manager no. 2 that I take long offer break everyday at 4:30 and this isn’t good for my career. I mean??!!!! Can’t even I have a good 15 min break at office. That office admin has a bad reputation of speaking to managers against the employees’ back. He proceeds to tell me , I keep an eye on everyone. He’s so irreplaceable as he’s got back from very senior people of company.
What should I do ? I was afraid as I don’t want any issues with my job just because of a coffee break.
