Business management undergrad about to graduate.
About to graduate from the University of Leicester as an undergraduate in business and management with an additional year in international economics at NTNU in Taiwan. Im expecting to achieve anywhere from a high 2:1 to a first. I made the mistake of choosing a silly degree and silly university in my first year and want to pivot away from it.
I wish to apply for my masters in a more specific field such as economics/finance in the next year or so, at a more prestigious university, and was wondering if anyone had any tips for actions i could take to bolster my chances in acceptance.
My goal is to pursue a career in finance and understand my current academic background (being from Leicester alongside business management) is not considered amazing.
I plan to take a year in between to complete/land internships in related fields, complete certain financial certifications and overall shift from my undergraduate degree to a full career later down the line.
Does anyone have any tips that could assist me in improving my chances, or just any overall tips in making the shift please. Anyhelp is much appreciated.
