Are Ritual sites and assaults the worst filler content yet?
Feels like they are the worst that has been added in a long time?
I’m genuinely trying to understand who this system is for.
The rewards feel awful:
- Reputation gets capped ridiculously fast
- Currency drops are painfully low
- Transmog acquisition is pure RNG on top of RNG
- Heroic gear costs way too much compared to the time invested
- Most runs feel completely unrewarding and take too long (invasion and big boss event)
After a few days it turns into: “Do repetitive content for tiny amounts of currency so maybe eventually you can afford one item.”
And the pacing feels terrible because the game clearly wants you logging in every day instead of letting you actually progress at your own pace.
The transmog situation is probably the most frustrating part: You can grind multiple Rituals/Assaults and walk away with literally nothing meaningful.
No token system. No bad luck protection. No deterministic path. Just RNG.
And to make it worse, I’m literally playing on patch day and there are no groups for Ritual Sites already. That feels like a massive red flag for supposedly “main” outdoor content.
Meanwhile the actual gameplay isn’t engaging enough to justify the grind by itself. It feels like content designed to inflate participation metrics rather than something genuinely fun.
Maybe I’m being too negative, but compared to older outdoor systems:
- Timeless Isle
- Legion world content
…this feels way more stingy and padded.
Is anyone actually enjoying this loop long term?
