Here's one of my Burns
This is a 100% beaver in silver belly. All mine are a Gus except my first Burns.

Now, if this is something you think you want to do, let's stick your big toe on the pool and find out. No need to spend the big money right now. Mosey over to the Amazon corral and buy a $30.00 cowboy hat. When it arrives, put it on your head and look in the mirror. Go take a walk. Do you feel good? Of course you do. Now wear it to the market, a fast food joint, out to dinner. Still liking it? Well, now you're in trouble. It's time to enter the portal of cowboy hat$.
Figure on spending between $200.00 and a grand. Yep, you can spend more. You want a custom hat. I'll mention a couple of places I've had great experiences with. They have good websites. The first is Burns 1876. Their Heritage model for $495.00 is great for a custom. And they'll put your name on the sweatband. Don't want to spend as much? Alberly, made in Oaxaca, MX, is an excellent brand. They'll burn your name on the underside of the brim.
There are other excellent makers out there, no doubt there will be responses to this missive extolling their virtues.
You own this. You're doing you. Do you get a pass? Hell yes!
I tried to photograph the moon last night. Clear night sky with no obstructions. I tried multiple times at different elevations. This has happened before, but I've also been able to get great shots of the moon other times.
I would like to thank Michael & his girl friend for returning my student's wallet he lost at the Boardwalk last week. You two are mensches. Muchas gracias
