Bring back the Diablo 2-Style Cinematics Menu — But With Our Character & Transmog
One small feature I’d love to see added to Diablo 4 is a proper Cinematics menu, similar to what Diablo 2 had.
Diablo 2 let you replay the game’s cinematics directly from the menu, and I always thought that was a great feature. For Diablo 4, I’d love to see that idea expanded into a cinematic replay gallery where we can rewatch campaign cutscenes using our selected character, including their current armor, transmog, dyes, and saved ensemble.
A lot of Diablo 4’s story moments are visually amazing, but once you’ve played through them, they’re basically gone unless you make a new character and play through campaign, or look them up online. It would be great to revisit those scenes in-game and see your Wanderer represented the way you currently have them customized.
This would also give more value to the wardrobe system. Imagine being able to save an ensemble, then replay major campaign moments with that exact look equipped. Themed ensembles are one of the main reasons I return to the game. Diablo 4’s armor designs are too good not to showcase more, and replayable cinematics would be the perfect way to do that.
TL;DR:
Bring back a Diablo 2-style Cinematics menu in Diablo 4, but make it a replay gallery for cutscenes featuring our selected character and current transmog/ensemble.
