Minolta XE bulb mode acting like 1/80 or X

I found a local Minolta XE for really cheap, with the only problems that the film counter is stuck, which i can live with, and when Bulb mode is selected, the shutter instead fires like if it was X, i dont use Bulb mode either, but i am worried, will this be a problem in the future, as in, is it indicative of electronic problems that will it get worse and expensive to service? All other speeds from 1 to 1/1000 fire just fine according to the buyer and everything else is pretty much fine, besides from some small prism corrosion
My question is, is it worth it? It's around 50 USD and all other options are the double of that, or is the bulb mode problem indicative of a worse electronic problem?
