Why do mass shootings not lead to more fatalities?

Typically when I hear news of a mass shooting, a gunman enters a building with 100s of unarmed people, yet typically “only” 2-3 people lose their lives (albeit a lot more sustain injuries).

Of course, I am not advocating for mass shootings - please don’t interpret it that way. I am just curious how it’s possible that individuals who prepare for these crimes, have powerful modern weapons, and face a crowd of unprepared and often densely packed people don’t end up doing more damage.

I created an iOS mobile app that will analyze your weightlifting technique and provide coaching feedback and would love if you could check it out!

I’ve been a frequent lurker of this sub over the past couple years and decided to try my hand at creating my own weightlifting form-analysis app. It uses 3d pose estimation so you can zoom in, rotate, and analyze your lift from all angles. This is an initial build, so not everything is perfect and fine-tuned, but I hope with enough users and feedback I can make it a platform that you guys can get real value out of. It’s called “Kinetic: AI Coach” and it’s available on the App Store today. Currently, it supports deadlift and squat with more exercises coming in future releases. I’d love to hear your feedback!
