How does the Meta change?
Pokemon Champions is my first foray into competitive VGC though I have played since crystal. I have watched for a while but never tried to play online until Champions. I am trying to understand how the meta mons and strategies change. I have tried searching online but can’t seem to find exactly the answer I’m looking for.
I come from other competitive games so I would like to understand what to look for moving forward. Is the meta changed by tweaking numbers on mons? From my understanding the power value on moves doesn’t change very often. So do they change individual stats like speed and attack to shift power around? Or is just finding new strategies? Or does it stay stagnant until a new format comes and changes what is legal.
I am loving Champions so far but, I do get frustrated going against the same 3 teams in higher tier matches. I always try to play something different and sometimes no matter how well I play the match I am just getting beat by stronger mons.
