Android 16 Missing features

This is just a small rant. I'm tired of Sony not providing all the features found in most other A16 roms such as lock screen widgets and Material 3 design. My 1iv is on Lineage OS running A16 qpr2, and the OS looks so much better than stock Sony.

Having a notification panel that is hard coded to dark theme makes their device feel really dated.

It's long overdue for Sony to provide a more pleasing/uniquely Sony ROM. Thoughts?

Xperia 1 VIII doubt

I was thinking of upgrading from my 1V to the VIII, but after reviewing all the vids on the phone that have come out (especially from the Chinese influencers), I'm starting to have second thoughts. The new zoom is technically better, but I don't get the impression that it's a massive leap from the previous sensor. It doesn't help that Sony's processing can be hit or miss.

Anyone else feeling this way?
