Hello everyone,

I’m getting promoted at work and will finally be allowed to wear either a navy blue or black suit with whatever shirt I want — up until now I was limited to plain white shirts.

I’m especially fond of dark purple and would love to incorporate it somehow, but I know it can be a tricky color to pull off. Does anyone have ideas for dark-colored shirt and tie combinations that would work well, particularly with navy or black suits?

I’d also love suggestions for other strong combinations, including striped or plaid shirts paired with ties.
