How To Fix Underarm Eczema + Discolouration???
I recently developed underarm eczema on both sides and it’s really left dry patches that are discoloured. Because I have brown skin, the discolouration is purple-reddish in colour and looks like significant bruising. I’ve had eczema before but never on my underarms, only my eyelid and back of my neck (which hasn’t flared up in almost 3 years now).
Now that summer’s here, I feel super insecure about my underarms and find it impacting the way I feel about myself. I think it may have developed from a deodorant I was using so I’ve discontinued that for the last week. I’ve been using Eucerin barrier cream and jojoba oil in hopes that I can help my skin barrier be more moisturized but I’m starting to feel unhopeful.
I have a doctor’s appointment on Thursday and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with underarm eczema and what helped? I’ll literally try just about anything, aside from a prescription as well. If anyone has any tips for how to fix the discolouration fast too please let me know, thank you!!
