Non Viable Pregnancy 6 wk 3 days
I went for my 12 week scan today as this was where the NHS thought I was dating due to the first day of my last period.
Last week, I went for a private scan and she saw a gestational sac measuring 6 weeks 2 days, no visible yolk sac and a possible fetal pole. She told me the results were inconclusive and I would need to be rescanned in a week.
Fast forward to today, I went for my NHS scan and I was only measuring 6 weeks 3 days, but there was a visible yolk sac and a fetal pole measuring 6.5mm- but no fetal heartbeat. I have been told I need to come back in 10 days for a rescan but to expect the worst. If the fetal pole is over 7mm without a heartbeat, they put this down as a miscarriage but as I’m 0.5mm off, they have to rescan.
Has anyone been through this? The next 10 days are going to be very emotional draining and I am already processing a miscarriage.
