Does re-exporting nests lower the video bitrate / quality?

Does re-exporting nests lower the video bitrate / quality?

I constantly work on huge hour long projects usually involving multiple nests with different segments laid out on the timeline like this. Inside these nests are more nests, adjustment layers, linked comps, images, videos, multilayered edits basically. My usual process is to render each nest and add the mp4 on top of the nest so that it's baked into the video, but i'm scared that might ruin the quality after re-exporting all of the videos put together. Does it really ruin video quality or should i keep this current workflow? I purposely render them out separately so I won't have to do one long render after the whole video is done and i can render it as i go along.

google photos is genuinely the worst

google photos is genuinely the biggest fucking headache of my entire life. it started randomly backing up literally EVERY SINGLE VIDEO AND PHOTO to my google drive which I PAY FOR. needless to say, it filled the fucker up instantly with 100 gb of useless files that were already on my phone. and when i saw there was an option to "free up space" i pressed it thinking it would delete all the useless garbage in the app. turns out it did the opposite and deleted the files FROM MY ACTUAL GALLERY. Now my google drive will be even more filled and i cant delete the photos and videos because thats the only place where they are fucking saved. piece of shit app cant let me just use my phone storage peacefully and insists i back everything up on their shitty platform so i buy more google storage. yeah fuck this app
