Game Concept

I want to pitch a game idea set in the world of Bully, focusing on the next generation after Jimmy Hopkins.

The game follows the child of Jimmy Hopkins, who is fully customizable and can be either male or female. The character has been expelled from every school they’ve attended and is finally sent to Bullworth Academy after Jimmy personally calls in a favor with Pete, who is now the principal.

I want the game to keep the same open-world structure as the original Bully, where you can freely explore Bullworth Academy and the surrounding town, but now everything has changed over the years. The town has evolved, but it still feels messy, strange, and full of drama, with lots of references to what happened during Jimmy’s time.

The tone should keep the same bully-style humor, chaos, and teenage drama from the original game, mixing silliness with serious moments and social conflict. The gameplay would focus on school life, exploration, missions, faction rivalries, and causing or preventing chaos around the school and town.

I want returning characters to appear in new roles that reflect how time has passed. Gary is still in prison, but there are constant rumors and conspiracy theories about him still influencing things from the inside. Pete is now the principal of Bullworth Academy, trying to keep the school under control while dealing with the legacy of Jimmy and everything that came after him. Russell now works at a burger joint but is still intimidating in his own way. Lola is still with Johnny, but now has multiple children and nobody really knows who the father is, even though Johnny is still in her life. Mandy has become a strict and mean school nurse. Agnes is still obsessively infatuated with Jimmy.

I want the school itself to feel like it has history tied to Jimmy’s era, with students constantly spreading rumors and myths about him, Gary, and Pete. These rumors would be a big part of the game and could affect how characters treat you and how events unfold.

I want a strong side quest system built around uncovering old stories from Jimmy’s past, Gary’s schemes, and Pete’s time as a student. There would also be smaller chaotic missions, faction-based missions, and random town events that keep the world feeling alive and unpredictable.

Things like Gary sightings you investigate, The Hopkins tour which consists of random things that did not happen to Jimmy at all and you can choose to feed into the chaos (fun)or set the record straight (lame), or things just be randomly blamed on you as the character when in reality it’s Pete’s mess ups behind the scene and he comes to you for help.

Overall, I want the game to feel like a chaotic, comedic, open-world school sandbox where you’re living in the shadow of a legend, while constantly creating your own reputation in a school that never really changed its weird personality.

Here’s a fake Rockstar-style trailer script for Bullworth Legacy, written like a cinematic reveal trailer with narration, gameplay cuts, and comedic punchlines.

BULLWORTH LEGACY — Official Trailer (Fan Concept)
[BLACK SCREEN]
SFX: School bell ringing… distorted… echoing
A faint crowd noise builds underneath.
TEXT ON SCREEN:
“15 years later…”

[CUT TO: BULLWORTH ACADEMY — DAY]
Wide shot of Bullworth Academy
The school looks familiar… but slightly more worn, slightly more chaotic.
Students run through the courtyard.
A teacher yells in the background:
“NOT AGAIN!”

[NARRATOR — dry, classic Rockstar tone]
“They said Bullworth changed.”

[CUT: CLASSROOM CHAOS]
A desk explodes into confetti.
A student is thrown out a window into a bush.
A fire alarm goes off for no reason.

“They said the past stayed in the past…”

[CUT: OLD TROPHIES / HALLWAY MONTAGE]
We see:
broken trophies labeled “Hopkins Era”
graffiti of old events
lockers with scratched-out names
students arguing over a wall painting

[WHISPERED STUDENT VOICES]
“That’s Jimmy’s locker…”
“No it isn’t.”
“Yes it is, my cousin swears—”

[CUT TO: PLAYER CHARACTER]
Fully customizable student walking through the gates.
Camera slowly circles.
Students start staring.
Someone whispers:
“That’s… Jimmy Hopkins’ kid.”

[SUDDEN MUSIC DROP — classic chaotic rock energy]

[GAMEPLAY MONTAGE — FAST CUTS]
pranks exploding in classrooms
fighting in hallways
stealing bikes outside school
cliques arguing in the courtyard
teachers chasing students with clipboards
students forming a “Jimmy Tour” group

[NARRATOR]
“But Bullworth doesn’t forget.”

[CUT: PRINCIPAL’S OFFICE]
Petey Kowalski sits behind a desk, exhausted.
He looks up at the player.
Long pause.
“Hopkins…”
Beat.
“Please tell me this one isn’t going to become a headline.”

[CUT: HALLWAY — CONSPIRACY WALL]
A giant student-made board:
“JIMMY DID THIS???”
“GARY THEORY CONFIRMED”
“PETE COVER-UP?”
string connecting random cafeteria incidents
Students argue violently in front of it.

[CUT: “JIMMY TOUR” SIDE QUEST]
Students guiding freshmen through incorrect locations:
“And here… is where Jimmy once started a riot… probably.”
Player facepalms.

[NARRATOR]
“Some say it started with Jimmy Hopkins…”

[CUT: FLASHES OF
Jimmy Hopkins
]
breaking into a dorm
standing in a hallway looking annoyed
throwing someone into a trash can
fading into myth

[NARRATOR CONTINUES]
“Some say it never ended.”

[CUT: GARY RUMOR MONTAGE]
Gary Smith is never shown directly — only chaos around him:
“Gary did it” graffiti
students panicking over nothing
locked doors
conspiracy boards
a teacher whispering “he’s still out there…”

[CUT: OUTSIDE TOWN]
Old characters appear in exaggerated, comedic form:
chaotic conversations
weird life situations
students idolizing them incorrectly
Everything feels like a distorted memory of the original game.

[GAMEPLAY — CHAOS ESCALATION]
prank goes wrong → whole school riot
small rumor → full faction war
stolen item → city-wide panic
detention → full rebellion

[NARRATOR — softer tone]
“But this time… it’s not about what happened before.”

[CUT: PLAYER ON ROOFTOP]
Wind blowing.
School below in chaos.
Camera slowly zooms in.

[TITLE CARD]
BULLWORTH LEGACY
