Bloodwork results showing high progesterone

Hi everyone. This is my first time making a post in this sub. I am wondering if any other ladies can resonate with what I am experiencing. I am a 34 year old cis woman and I recently had my hormones tested. I told my doctor that I have been dealing with increased sweating, but only in my armpits and groin area (sometimes so much that I need to change my shirt/panties and in some instances I can feel the sweat roll down my underarm; this has occurred while I’ve been sitting on my couch watching tv), my smell has changed, I sometimes experience hot flashes, and I also sometimes wake up in the middle of the night hot and clammy (this occurs the least though). I have also felt low energy for a while now, and my skin has been super dry; at least I’m assuming it’s dryness, I look kind of pruney/crepey. And, I have been battling some increased acne: stubborn blackheads in my T-zone and jawline cystic acne, as well as feelings of urgency in my bladder. I’m not sure if all of these are related, but all of it is happening and showed up roughly around the same time. Anyways, we did bloodwork and my results came back showing high progesterone. Mine was 4.6 while the range was 0.1-2.1. Everything else was within normal range; well my T4 was a tenth of a point high, but I didn’t think too much about that. Estradiol was 61, which is normal I think. I haven’t had a period since April of 2022. I got an IUD and spotted for a few months, then in September of 2024 I had a bi salp along with an ablation. Saying this to confirm there’s a very very slim chance of pregnancy for me. When the nurse called me today she stated that my doctor wants to start me on a progesterone capsule of 100 mg to be taken every night before bed. This caught me off guard since I saw that my progesterone was already high, and that dosage seems like a lot . I have an appointment Thursday morning and I fully intend to ask for further information and clarification before I start taking anything, but I wanted to come on here to see if anyone else has found themselves in a situation like this? I apologize for the length of this post. If you read the whole thing, I appreciate your time and attention.

Just noticed these bumps on my arm. They are only slightly itchy.

I had a procedure done yesterday and after my iv was inserted they used a square piece of tape to secure it. That’s the only different thing that has occurred on this arm. Although I’ve never had this happen before, I’m wondering if these bumps could be a reaction to the tape? They are all under the skin and not too itchy, and my arm doesn’t feel warm or feverish where the bumps are. They appear to be on the underside of my forearm and on the underside & topside of my upper arm.
