Im on day 9 tomorrow being day 10 and i was feeling like im nearly there couple more days and you can see light at end of the tunnel.

This morning gets up to take dihydracodeine to dull pain ive been getting the last few days first thing, I thought I will have a peek at the white scabs see how it looks, opens mouth only slightly not like a hippo and as im looking I see a red spot get bigger and then flowing down my teeth warm blood im like okay no biggy ive had the odd bit blood now and again but it wouldn't stop literally spat around half a cups worth, called an ambulance as I couldn't drive and they said we are not sending one a clinician will call from nhs, luckily between then and him calling me I started chewing ice cubes and biting chunks of Robinson watermelon ice lolly as there soft easier to mush in mouth and it done the trick stopped the bleeding. The clinican just said if it happens again call 999 and we will send ambulance this time. Scary experience but im not going to ent now due to they probs just send me home as it stopped but im just so done with it all now. Also my face skin is flaking like mad im putting it down to the drugs and stress but, im only taking paracetamol from now on hard drugs are not needed. So if anybody has a bad bleed make sure you have soft ice lollies ice cube or ice cream handy.

Just woke up at 6am which is fine as meds are to be taking, pain has changed its game from stabbing hard to swallow to waking up with dull ache through ear and jaw hard to swallow, took meds with paracetamol dissolvable and could feel it burning tongue and throat, it talks about raw skin and scabs lifting on chat gpt around these days, spit has a mix with blood nothing crazy aswell. Im getting longer spells of pain free during the day but night and morning are no laughing matter. Makes you think the worst is over as I had a good mid day yesterday and then boom Mr pains like come here where do you think your going, really hoping this was the peak and tomorrow going into day 9 is slightly better. Currently paracetamol ibuprofen dihydracodeine and ice lollies ice cream and ice packs. The days are slow but fingers crossed im nearly there.

Had my tonsillectomy 2 days ago, pain is up and down nothing crazy just trying to keep on top with meds, noticed my uvula which was the size of say a pinky finger nail is now like a full thumb size, fat wide and long touching tongue, from what ive read this is just normal after the tubes etc have been rubbing against it during procedure. Anybody have the same happen and how long until it went back to close to something normal, I feel this is my main cause of discomfort.

Did anybody get there tonsils removed due to one being enlarged compared to the other. Ive had one tonsil hypertrophy for 3 month now, started with a sore throat when swallowing done the salt water gargle and the discomfort went away but one enlarged tonsil remains, I have zero symptoms except the size difference and its stayed consistent all that time never changed. I had loads of colds and blocked noses months prior more than usual for myself also loads of heartburn and post nasal aswell, been to ent and they said it looks fine had camera up nose checked everything fine, lymph node fine and they felt the tonsils and said its normal not hard the tissue, also going for mri just to check.neck area is all fine, basically said if I want 100% diagnosis to get both removed and biopsy done, surgery is in 2 week time but a few days ago I got doctors call saying ent sent a prescription in for reflux liquid and steroid nasal spray which to me seems short notice if surgery due and if it was from irritation then it would need more time to work and bring tonsil back down to normal, I was also a smoker during all this but stopped a few week back as was getting a hot feeling at back of throat which seems like chronic irritation rather than anything serious, just wondering if anybody had similar and did get them removed and answers to why it happened.
