Prologue Elite self-sealing tires, repair
I learned some things about my 2025 Prologue Elite this week and thought I would share…
Had a tire puncture, and found that it was being identified as the wrong tire in the console. My wife called the dealer and said this was a known issue. Caused a lot of confusion finding the puncture initially when the trouble tire was not visibly different from the others.
Elite tires are self-sealing and not just anyone will repair them. Costco said no. The dealer also said no over the phone and suggested I’d need to replace at least 2 at nearly $500/ea. No thanks.
However, Discount repaired it with no complaints, though it did take a while. (They have to scrape the self-sealing goo away from the puncture area before patching.)
Hope this helps anyone else in a similar situation in the future.
