Young Composer here looking to forge a long-term partnership with a mixing engineer!
Hello Reddit! My name is Evan Aviles, and I am an aspiring film composer who just graduated high school. I am currently composing the soundtrack for an animation project based in Poland. The pilot episode is slated to be released by the end of this year. Additionally, I am finishing up the soundtrack for an independent short film. I also recently finished co-writing and producing a song for a fellow Redditor. Some months ago, I received an honorable mention for a museum exhibit scoring competition in which I participated. I am looking for a mixing engineer who is willing to learn and grow with me. I am perfectly willing to negotiate rates, but I do not have a ton to pay right now, but I am hoping that will change very soon. Let’s become very successful together! I am very passionate, and I’m excited for what lies ahead! That being said, here’s what I’m looking for:
Someone who is willing and able to mix orchestral, ambient, and hybrid songs that could potentially contain upwards of 100 stems (but don’t worry, most of my songs will probably contain only 40-50 stems or even less, depending on the genre and the context)
Someone who is able/willing to mix more contemporary genres. Although I will be primarily composing instrumental soundtrack works, I will also need someone who is able/willing to mix rock and pop songs as well, whether they are required for a film project or whether they are for side projects.
Someone who is easy to work with, and who is willing to work within reasonable and consistent timelines (Exact timelines will vary for any given track depending on the length and complexity of the track)
Someone who wants to go on a journey with me! As I touched on before, I do not have a large budget for any current projects, but I believe/hope this may change soon. That being said, I am more than willing to negotiate. As I become more successful, I will have more and more to pay you, but I am not there quite yet. Please keep this in mind.
Last, but certainly not least, a kindred spirit! Someone who shares the same passion for music and for film and for art that I do. We are making art, not content! Yes, our music must be marketable and financially profitable, but it must never lose its authenticity, humanity, and beauty in the process. I strive to make music that touches the soul and brings life to others. I hope that one day my music is heard by many, not so that I can gain recognition for myself, but so that my music can bless others. I am looking for someone who can get on board with these ideals! Ultimately, I am looking for someone who holds similar values to my own, and with whom I can form a genuine bond of friendship that goes beyond a mere business relationship.
If any or all of these things sound like you, please shoot me a DM! I am very excited for my musical journey that lies ahead, and perhaps you might be a large part of it!

If you are interested, I can send you snippets of tracks from film projects I am currently working on. These should give you a better idea of what you would be working with.
Again, if interested, DM me.
Thanks for your consideration.
