Hi all,
do you know any good and affordable movers in Berlin? We are moving from two flats together into one all in the northern Berlin area, so nothing too complicated.
Can you recommend someone? Best would be if photos of the stuff thats to be moved would be enough for them for a quote. Since we are working fulltime its not feasiblefor us to take a day off just for an appointment to show them what is to be moved.

Any recommendations?

I am using Audacity to record the current audio output of my system. To do so I have to connect the outputs of the PipeWire node on QJackCtrl with the inputs of the Audacity node (jack is selected as recording device) in the Graph view. In principle everything works, however my problem is that the Audacity node only appears when I activate recording and my default the capture inputs of the system node are connected to the inputs of the audacity node. So I have to start a recording and fix the connection in the graph before the real recording can start.

Is there any way I can make the Audacity node be always visible if Audacity is running or can save how it should be connected?

I use the described setup to play/record electric guitar. I can load NAM captures and play but as soon as I start I hear a crackling sound in the background which is quite annoying. This is consistent over several NAM captures. Its not the normal background noise you might have with an electric guitar. The built in amp models of amp locker work just fine.

After a quick google search I changed my JACK settings to: Sample Rate = 48000 (which is also the sample rate of the NAM captures I use) and Frames/Period = 512. Unfortunately this didn´t help.
Also it doesn´t matter if I run the LV2 or VST3 version of amp locker.

I have the same problem when running AmpliTube5 (through Wine) or Mike Oliphants LV2 NAM plugin. I have no problem when using the Neural Rack VST plugin, but unfortunately A2 captures are not supported.

Give it to me straight: Is my laptop too weak for this (Linux Mint 22.3, i7-6600U CPU @ 2.60GHz × 2, 8 GB RAM) or is there something I can do?

thinking about buying a NIU scooter (125cc equivalent class, my 2026). NIU seems to be big on connectivity, so my question is:
Am I required to use an app to access all the features? Am I required to register my scooter with NIU and create some sort of account? Or can I just buy it, take my keys and drive like in the good old days?

in looking for some good books on the current state of AI. Currently reading Artificial Intelligence - A guide for thinking humans by Melanie Mitchell and really like it. Only downside: this book is 7 years old.
I have a pretty good STEM background so it should go into technical details but maybe not on university level.
I‘m not looking for a HowTo for using AI, i want to understand how it works.
Also i am interested on the technical aspects, not so much on political, ethical, etc. implications and discussions.
Also no Tech Bro hype BS or fearmongering.
Above mentioned book is a good example for what i am looking for, just more current.

edit: ofc, it doesnt have to be a hardcover book. papers which can be understood without prior in-depth academia level knowledge, blog posts, etc. are also more than welcome.
