Recently I’ve been working on shifting my weight. I’ve tried so many different things but in this particular video, weight was about 50/50 in front and back foot at address. I just swung and let my upper body rotation with a deep top backswing take my weight to the trail foot/heel naturally. From there, I just kind of felt the weight move to the front foot as I feel like my body just naturally wants to do that before a forward swing with the upper body. It feels good, and it looks pretty good, but I’m still hitting more misses than I want.

However, I have experimented with “bumping” my weight to my trail foot early in my backswing (like in the takeaway), and then as I was reaching the top of my backswing allowing my weight to start shifting to the front foot already. The problem with that is, my brain has a very, very hard time comprehending that and it is very hard to get my body to do that in a full golf swing. I also don’t know if I actually am or not, but it also feels like I might have a reverse spine when doing that as well.

What are your thoughts? And what are your guys “feelings”/thoughts/actions with your swing and shifting your weight at address when you’re about to swing the club?
