I currently have an AMEX Blue Cash Everyday, and I may upgrade to Blue Cash Preferred. I also have a Discover It which I don’t really use. I was wondering what you guys think are the best cards to fit with the AMEX.
I recently applied to another airport on USAJobs. I passed the CBT for the first airport and accepted the TJO. When can I expect to get a TJO from the next airport and do I have to submit the onboarding paperwork again?
I’m trying to relocate to an airport and then eventually do an NTP to transfer to one nearby where I live.
I know you have to work for one year in TSA to be able to transfer. Is it possible to file the NTP earlier? I’m asking because I know you can be in the NTP for a long time. So can I file the NTP like 6 months before my 1 year mark and then be in that pool earlier, so I could transfer faster once I hit my 1 year mark?
Also, can I do an NTP to one airport, and then from that airport NTP to another? Thanks 🙏
I applied to a CatX airport and it’s been roughly 1 month since my CBT. I had two questions and would appreciate any insights.
1.) I hope to be hired and start work by May of 2027. Is this reasonable given that I applied in June of 2026 and the current TSA climate? I’ve heard that it could take up to three years.
2.) I applied to a CatX airport, and also the largest airport of the state it’s in. Does that work to my advantage? Are larger airports more likely to go through the hiring process faster?

How does the transfer process work in TSA? My plan is to relocate to another airport, work for one year, then transfer to one nearby where I live. I know that the airport needs to have a vacancy for you to transfer, but if many people are trying to transfer how is it decided? Are airports also accommodating of letting current TSOs transfer to other airports?
I have a degree and am looking to start a career in the federal government in the TSA. Will this job count as specialized experience that will give me an advantage to join the FBI down the line?
I commute to school and so far it looks like I will be paying 50,000 total by the time I graduate. The catch is I’m graduating early in 3 years for my bachelors degree instead of four, and despite that, my total cost for money I have paid and will need to pay totals that amount.
I’m not very familiar with student loans and it’s my first time in this subreddit. I don’t know if this is normal so I’m just looking for clarification based on other people’s situation as well.
