Hi! I've recently started shaving, and I've noticed that I'm only really able to get two shaves out of a blade, and even then I'm feeling a struggle by the end of the second. I'd guess this is just because I like a very close shave and I have thick facial hair, but maybe you guys have some advice since I've heard of other folks getting 5-6 shaves per blade.

shave specs are the King C Gilette DE razor with the included KCG blades. using conditioner and warm water for lather, and rinsing the blade every couple strokes.

EDIT: Thanks everyone for the advice! Going to pick up a sample pack of different blades this weekend and be ready to accept I might just never be part of the club that gets more than 2 shaves out of a blade :)
