In my 2007 civic, when I am engine braking I will sometimes stay in a gear that doesn’t match that speed so I can just skip a gear when downshifting. For example. Say I’m going 65mph and I’m in 5th gear, about to take an exit. I will coast in gear until about 40mph and then rev match to go into 3rd gear. I am not accelerating during this. Does this will hurt the engine? Should I just downshift sequentially?

I got my suv tinted and you can still see inside. I got 15% to go over the back windows which had 20% privacy factory tint and the got 5% on the front windows. The back section is blacked out but you can see inside the front windows even on an overcast day. My interior is light grey so I’m sure thats why you can still see inside. What’s a good percentage for the windshield to balance visibility at night and privacy during the day?
