Has Mediatek fixed the heating and battery issues people used to complain about?

I’ve used Snapdragon phones back then, mainly because people always said app optimization and thermals were safer choices there. But after watching a few long gaming and battery drain tests, the Mediatek Dimensity 9500s honestly looks more competitive than I expected.

What surprised me most was how stable the performance seemed after extended usage instead of only during short benchmark runs. Some phones with this chipset also seem to be offering bigger batteries and better cooling at similar prices.

For people who’ve actually used a phone with this processor, did the everyday experience feel noticeably different from Snapdragon? Especially regarding standby drain, camera processing consistency, gaming heat, and long-term smoothness after updates.

OPPO Find X9s launching SOON - Are you picking this over Samsung/OnePlus?

So the OPPO Find X9s hasn’t officially launched in India yet, but there’s already enough info floating around to get a rough idea of what it is (and guys its actually interesting).

Expected specs (based on early deets):

  • Mediatek Dimensity 9500s chipset
  • 6.59-inch AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate
  • Triple 50MP rear cameras with Hasselblad tuning
  • 7025mAh battery
  • 80W fast charging
  • IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance
  • Android 16 with ColorOS 16

Nothing feels overdone here. It looks like OPPO is going for a balanced flagship instead of trying something too experimental.

Launch timing: No confirmed India date yet. Usually, OPPO brings these after the global launch, so it’s likely around May 15th (assuming).

Expected price in India: Not official, but based on past Find series phones, it could launch somewhere around INR 55,000 to 75,000, depending on storage and variants.

At that price, it’ll be competing directly with other upper mid to premium flagships, so pricing will matter a lot here. Also, Mediatek’s newer chipsets have been pretty cool lately in real world use, so if this is tuned well, it could actually surprise people.

Okay, now I’m curious 👉 If this launches around that price… are you actually considering it, or is it “Samsung/OnePlus only” for you?
