The bumps on my fingers fit the description perfectly. When it is in my wrist/arm, it’s an entirely different appearance. Do I maybe have something else?
It’s been about a month of torture. The first time I broke out, it was several parts of my body - stomach, ankles, hands, arms. It started on my hands and progressed from there. I stumbled upon dyshidrosis because the bumps in my hand matched the description perfectly - tiny, clear, super itchy blisters. The ones on my arms and wrist also matched the description - at first - but eventually devolved into what is demonstrated in the photos. It’s as if one small clear blister appears, is itchy as hell, then another small bump appears right next to it - then sometimes even more clump next to it. Eventually they get very red and look more like a typical rash.
Right now I’m dealing with it exclusively on my hands/wrist/lower forearm. The ones on my hand typically stay clear in color and go away after about five days if I don’t touch it. Of course as soon as one goes away, another pops up. The wrist and arms though - it eventually gets all red and spreads into a patch.
When I first got it on multiple parts of my body, I went to the derm and they were stumped. They said it looked like scabies, but no evidence of mites and no external factors made sense - I hadn’t traveled and nobody else in my home had a rash. I got a biopsy that was inconclusive. I used permethrin anyway because I was paranoid.
It’s come back - just on my hands and wrists/forearms. Like I said, the ones on my hand so closely match the description of dyshydrosis. Can the blisters morph into a more ‘typical’ looking rash like these pictures? I’m seriously losing my mind here. I’m going to try my PCP since the derm clearly could not help me.
