longer period than usual

Hi! I just wanted to get thoughts on this. I have had terrible periods since I was 15. My periods are regular, usually every 26 days and lasts about 5-6 days. The first day is absolutely hell with severe cramping and heavy bleeding. Day 2 is moderate cramping with heavy bleeding. Days 3-6 are lighter and tolerable. Despite the pain, my cycles are always the same. Saw gyno 3 weeks ago for my annual and discussed how my period pains are worsening and now severe pain with stooling and intercourse. We did a pap, went over some options and she said she first wanted an ultrasound 4 weeks out (next week).

So I started my period last week and I had some changes. I came on day 24 (which is not super alarming) but it completely stopped that late afternoon - which hasn’t happened since I was a teen. The next morning I woke up with a lot of blood. I was so surprised that I was not hurting at all, I mean I was cramping but it was so light. So I took some naproxen excepting that the pain would probably hit soon. NOPE. I continued my day normally. I mean I was having some very light cramping but still not compared to my normal first day. I usually take naproxen every 8 hours the first 2-ish days. Anyway, the flow was still heavy but I didn’t pass any clots like usual. I was so happy. Until now, I am day 10 and STILL bleeding bright red and lightly cramping. It’s weird too because on day 6 I had brown blood and that end of period smell. The only thing that has changed is the fact that I got the pap and I’ve been slightly stressed with moving. I haven’t had sex either. I was think maybe the pap had something to do with it but I start my period 11 days after that. I’m getting nervous because I am now realizing that it’s been 3 weeks since my appt and I haven’t heard about my pap smear. I was gonna call tomorrow for sure but I am just feeling worried about it, haven’t had an appetite all day. :(
