I'm currently in the final stretch of Firewatch and will most likely dive into Scarlet Hollow once I've finished that. I'm also interested in Eastward, Terra Nil, Chained Echoes, Moves of the Diamond Hand, About Fishing, and Arctic Eggs, all of which are currently on my Steam Wishlist.
Eager to find out what everyone is into right now!
Plenty of BC subjects have been adapted into stage musicals over the years: Almost Famous, Catch Me If You Can, Beetlejuice, Sleepless in Seattle (which was marketed as Sleepless: A Musical Romance) Back to the Future, Death Becomes Her, The Evil Dead, Clueless, Picnic at Hanging Rock, and Finding Nemo, just to name a few.
We also have a couple of adaptations on the way - Trainspotting opens in July on the West End and Happy Feet is set to premiere in Minneapolis in '28.
My question is, which films from the BC canon do you believe would make for a (potentially!) great musical? My list is quite long, so I pared it down to just 10 selections. Theatre Blankies, go off!
Sound off on the queer / camp movies you think deserve more love and attention.
My pick: Can't Stop the Music, the utterly insane Village People "origin story" musical directed by Nancy Walker. I've seen it over a dozen times and I always find something new to gawk at, can't recommend it enough. #DoTheShake
EDIT: Blocking anyone who derails the post to complain about the Pride flag, ask questions about the community that could be answered with a simple Google search, or otherwise distract from the conversation.
1) What is your most anticipated movie from this list? If I'm missing anything, let me know.
2) What is the movie you most suspect will be bad but will have you seated in a theater anyway?
BONUS QUESTION: Does anyone have more info on Buds ... ?

COMPLETE THE TRILOGY, MERYL. Play a bee or something!
I remember catching a screening of The One I Love that Tasha Robinson also attended and how she asked about this trend. It was a weird / fun little era!
*A few of these technically premiered at festivals in 2013 but I believe their official (limited / wide) releases were all in 2014.
I've been keeping a very close eye on this over the years - they're so close to 400 films!
If you haven't seen The Mouse and His Child, just know it makes Toy Story's existential crises look like springtime seaside tea parties.
Would love to get more obscure animated recs!
Also, can we talk about 2019? FIVE releases in 2019 alone? Show a little self-restraint!
Sometimes you just know in your gut you're never gonna see a particular movie!
Eager to confirm if I've left anything out or if any of these should be removed. Sound off, Blankies!
Directed by and starring P:TR's favorite undisclosed episode topic + the one and only Doplh Lundgren!
