26M, I’ve been battling enlistment processing for the past 2yrs for Sleep Apnea. It’s been a very long process of hurry up and wait. I’m on my 3rd recruiter. First recruiter got fired and second changed units. My current recruiter admired my continued desire and aspires for my enlistment and drive. Based on the regs he told me, I’m not quite there yet. And I’m not sure if I’ll still even be medically qualified. I did a waiver for it last year and was denied, I got sinus surgery to correct it which brought me from moderate to mild (recent testing) but still have it. I’m feel like just saying fk it and continue with my career. I’m a cop and make good money, but I feel stagnant after being held up while battling army entry regs. I keep hearing everything is waiver able but to what extent, the state surgen and NGB denied my first waiver and I’m feeling a round 2 is coming based on what the regs say.
