I want to buy a mac book m5 pro, what should I do in these high prices in all stores, even with the open box?

Hello everyone,I have a question before the high prices, I want to buy a new device and I think completely about Mac M5. I am a Windows user most of the time, but I want to start a new experience, so my question is whether it will serve my use, which includes browsing, reading, programming and work. I use vm to run Linux as well as shooting a screen for some tasks. The duration of use per day may reach 10 hours continuously. Does this affect the temperature of the device?

Should I buy ASUS ProArt PX13 (Ryzen AI MAX+ 388 + 32GB RAM) with 1899$ or wait for a deal I am very convinced of this device and I want to start an experience with it.

I want a little advice about buying a light laptop for strong mobility for use, screen size 13 or 14, use for programming, browsing, reading and working as well (it can work 10 hours a day) I don't have a specific type and the budget is up to $2k
