How many episodes do you bank?

We're currently working with 2/3 banked episodes with a bi monthly release. Simply because both my cohost and I have full time demanding jobs and can't record more than 2 episodes a month.

Recently my cohost was ill on our recording day. I got a guest host to help and pivoted those episodes to be something different than planned quite quickly. I don't think they'll be bad, but they won't be as good as if there'd been time to properly plan them.

So this got us thinking if it would be a better idea to try and bank more episodes? Like spend one month recording maybe 6 episodes, but then the editing will also take time. So what's the balancing act here?

Worth the time and money?

I have a 3 year degree, and the IBMS won't even look at it. They say I need to complete my honors year with an accredited university. I also work full time and have done in lab roles since leaving uni 3 years ago.

The way I see it I have two options:

  1. Finish my final year with the OU and then do the required tops ups.

  2. Do my final year at a different accredited university via distance learning.

I'm not sure what the best option is as I think both would take roughly 2/3 via part-time learning. But the cost is something I'm not really able to calculate.

Has anyone been in a similar position?

What with single issue binding?

Recently, I've been getting a lot of DC books that seem to have pages stuck together at the spine with some kind of glue on them in addition to just staples.

So what's with that?
