What are your opinions?

I feel the nerf to the FG42 is nowhere near enough, unless the increase to recoil is significant (which we won't know until live, I guess)

They could have gone further on the Mammoth too.

In comparaison, the nerf to the Garand feels harsh. They cut it's range in half, and removed the upper arm multiplier. Not sure it will still be worth using over the standard gun.

Can't edit loadout in match?

I hadn't noticed any issue before today, but it seems I can't edit my loadout in matches anymore. The game just closes the menu on its own before I can select a different weapon.

Anyone has it happening as well?

Some kind of armor? Missing body multipliers?

So I just had a weird match. I was using the Garand rifle, which is 1-shot kill to the upper torso and up. There was one guy on the opposing team who was always sitting on headglitchs, so for sure only his upper torso and head was visible, yet it near always took 2 shots to bring him down. And before anybody says it, I was not missing, I was getting a hitmarker. I was well within range too.

Anybody has any idea how this could happen? I'm thinking maybe his weapon caught the bullet and acted as a shield of sort? Maybe the gun shoots slightly lower than I think and I'm hitting the cover?

The Argus kit is the most fun I had in a while…

… even if I don't do so well with it in most lobbies, compared to other weapons.

It is challenging, in a good way: having to go for head/neck shots every time, lead targets due to lower velocity, pick your fights more carefully, … It's keeping me on my toes and more engaged than any full auto weapon. Sadly I'm dying quite a bit more often, even if I have had some very good games with it too.

I have never been much of a shotgun player, but I couldn't resist a lever-action.

To those who tried it, what are your opinions?

Easier tac-stance activation?

On some builds, I would like to easily switch between tac-stance an regular ADS depending on the distance of engagement. I find the control very clunky, I have to let go of the bumper to activate the D-pad…

Even remapping to a back paddle doesn't feel great.

Ideally, I would like it to be a press of a bumper while ADS, like for focus or changing zoom.
But I can't figure out how to configure it this way.

Anybody figure out a good way to configure the tac-stance control?

Scout combat specialty

Are any of you using this as your only way to stay of the map? Do you find it enough?

I've always ran suppressors, but I also have the scout specialty on a lot of the time, not for the specialty itself but because I like the individual perks. So I'm wondering how redundant are suppressors when using this specialty?

I'm kind of going back and forth.

The KRS makes me long for MW

I'm convinced Treyarch doesn't understand how to make a enjoyable semi-auto marksman rifle. Every time, both in BO7 and BO6, they have way too much recoil.

ARs are more accurate at long ranges than the semi-auto MR are. The semi-auto MRs en up playing a lot more like close-range weapons than the long range rifles they should be.

I miss the MTZ Interceptor and the KVD Enforcer. Yes, they had a slower rate of fire but, despite a lot of visual recoil, they were accurate. Each shot would recenter almost perfectly before the next.

I hope MW4 gets it right next year.

They finally nerfed the SG12…

… and all the *ssholes switched to the Swordfish.
Definite increase of them since the update. Near every match.

I barely believed my eyes when I saw the lack of weapon balancing in the patch notes. Are they so delusional they think no other weapon than the SG12 needed some adjustments?

Difficulties voting since the update?

Half the time (actually more than half) I cannot for the life of me select the any of the map options. I'm wiggling the sticks in all directions, and nothing.

I had no problem at all before today.

Anormal wait time on UAV?

Hi,

It's not a new bug, but I'm encountering it more often. Does anyone knows if there is a trick to avoid it?

My UAV sometimes displays a wait time of several hundreds of seconds and I am not able to call it even if it is earned.

Does Chronus or other allows to auto fire semi-autos at max speed?

Maybe I'm paranoid. I just played a match against a guy who was spamming the prestige MXR perfectly at max fire rate. No variance in speed whatsoever, no missed shots, it just looked and sounded exactly like a full auto weapon.

I watched every killcam, I could not find a single instance of him botching the fire rate.

Very low level dominating lobbies?

I am seeing it more and more often: very low level players absolutely tearing and dominating the lobby. They are obviously playing extremely well, and are not new to the game at all.

From the killcams, I cannot detect any obvious cheats, just very very solid gameplay (but then again, cheats are not always obvious)

So it's leaving me a bit puzzled. I can't think of other explanations than these:

  • Novices playing extremely well despite having just started the game
  • Veterans of other CoDs starting BO7
  • Experienced players creating new accounts for some reason

I can't help to be suspicious and thinking there is something nefarious at play. Am I paranoid?

PS: By "low level", I don't mean low prestige, or level 55. Really low, like below 20.

Most games it doesn't assign me a nemesis, and the couple of times where it did, it did not track all the kills. I think it only counted one per match.

Anybody else encountered issues?

I figured I would point out what I think they did right, since I certainly complain about what I dislike. It's only fair to balance the scales.

I am really happy about the addition of body multipliers on the MXR and the Sokol, and the change to make headshots very rewarding on the MK35. It's great to have guns that make you focus more on accuracy and reward you for it.

I never really understood the decision to remove body multipliers on near all weapons, I think it's a great tool to better balance guns, and I think it's a very positive thing that they are bringing it back on some guns.

Maybe the Carbon 57 next?
