hello! i have a question about fabric poking through when sewing. i’m currently hemming the edges of a dress and i’m unsure how to fix this. it seems to always happen when i sew and i only work with cotton. i don’t know the size of my needle but it has a purple base. i never changed out the needle. my thread tension is 4 and my stitch length is 3. i’m just doing a simple straight stitch. i use a singer 5050c. any help would be appreciated!
