Still trying to wrap my head around what I have...

Am I in adrenal fatigue? I just don't know. I don't quite understand what's happening to my body. The medical doctors think it could be some kind of tumor or growth, they've ruled out so many other possibilities already (within their scope). My Naturopathic Doctor thinks it could be Dysautonomia.

I thought it was Adrenal Insufficiency but the last morning cortisol blood draw showed 440 ish (I hadn't slept much and was waking up all night. Stressed out about the possibilities). I understand that into full blown Insufficiency, it wouldn't produce that much. So now I'm more seriously considering AF.

I'm searching through this group and finding people have all kinds of different symptoms. I'm finding it difficult to fully understand if I am in AF or if there is more going on. I do better with salt intake (1-2g a day). But once I reach a certain point, my gut hurts from all the salt. The salt makes me tired, emotional and feeling like I'm still missing or lacking something. Up to this point, I could not tolerate sea salt (especially magnesium, it was setting off a whole range of symptoms whe I would take miniscule amounts of it).

I've gone from May/June/July body freaking out: adrenaline episodes in the night, not being able to process any kind of stress, body spasm episodes (limbs flying all over the place for up to an hour), trouble catching breath after eating & exerting (discovered that salt helps), lost 30 pounds in 5 weeks (because my body couldn't process the food, seemed like it took too much energy), generally weak & cold, urinating frequently, constantly drinking water but dehydrated (especially at night), strong adrenaline responses become very weak now, salt craving for 1.5 years, nauseous until I got my salt intake up.

Now at this point my body is at a lot lower pace: no random adrenaline, not losing any more weight (maintaining at 30 pounds less), still cold & tired (low BP) after meals, still drinking (I felt like I was drinking too much so only drinking 48oz a day now instead of 66oz) but still feeling dehydrated at night. Anytime I lay down for more than 30 minutes, I have to immediately pee upon standing.

Anyway, sorry to babble on and on. Just trying to figure this all out.

Salt. How much sodium do you use in a day to feel normal?

I seem to need about 250mgs a few times a day, just to not feel nauseous, have more energy and to be able to process food.

What does Addison's Disease feel like for you?

  1. What are/were your strongest symptoms?

  2. How did you discover you had AD? What was it like leading up to your diagnosis?

  3. What's been the best treatment for you?

Difference between Adrenal Fatigue & Adrenal Failure

I found this sub yesterday. I've been in and out of hospital since end of May this year. Symptoms early on were weight loss (due to not being able to process food, gut was fine, it just took too much energy for digestion), heart palpitations, chest pain, weak, cold, mineral intolerance (imbalance), lightheaded, episodes of adrenaline/shaking. Doctors have ruled out heart issues and most other common things.

After about a month of this, I had a couple of good recovery weeks. I put on 5 pounds, I was eating a lot but not a lot at a time. My body was quite calm, libido was returning and I was getting 9-10 hours solid sleep a night. But I overdid it at the start of last week and I crashed again.

My symptoms seem worse now in some ways. I'm extremely weak, have trouble falling asleep for hours, nauseous (I've hardly ever been nauseous), can't eat much at a time (lost that 5 pounds again). When I do eat too much or exert too much, I have trouble catching my breath and have to sit or lay down. I got an adrenaline episode the other night, but it was so weak, like there was nothing left hardly. My hands turn white off and on and I'm a bit pale in the face. I get warm sensations throughout my body, especially my arms and shoulders.

My question is: how do you know if it's adrenal fatigue/exhaustion vs. Addison's Disease/adrenal failure? What sets them apart? I haven't found a doctor who will test for it yet. They think it's my digestion/colon but everything is fine there (except it's gotten softer).

PMs Poll

I've seen so many posts where people are desperate for cash and need to sell part/all of their collection of PMs. Would you buy gold or silver without first having an emergency cash account in place?

I'm not sure if they are/were a Canadian company. But they made 1g silver rounds with F#ck Trudeau & Carney, among other rounds. Their website doesn't work anymore. I see a few of their pieces floating around online but no sign that the company is still producing.
